Easy flower crochet square named the blooming daisy
Introduction

Easy crochet square pattern. Make your next crochet blanket with this easy flower square named Blooming Daisy Flower Square. Crochet square creates a solid crochet square with little to no gaps, the perfect 12-inch square for any addition to a crochet square afghan project.

Options for using crochet squares in any project are endless, you can easily make bags, scarf cardigans, and much more by simply joining large flower squares together. Love yourself some crochet tote bags made from crochet squares, make sure you check out my crochet bag collection.

Blooming daisy flower crochet square is a combination of pretty crochet stitches including 2dctog and crochet shell stitches, the example pattern is worked up in a 4.5mm crochet hook, it makes a pretty 9-inch afghan square. I used five colors of yarn in the croche square example;  natural cotton cream, bright green, sunshine yellow, dusty pink, and prune purple, please note that the color selection for making this crochet square is completely up to you. Using 5 skeins of yarn of 100m / 109 yards of yarn I could easily create 4 squares.

The Crochet flower pattern is available in my online store and includes a detailed row-by-row photo tutorial, all purchased patterns are available as a PDF digital downloads.

Blooming Daisy Free Online Crochet Flower square Pattern

Skills required
Understand the basics of working in the round.
Joining different yarn colors and how to end and finish rows.

Techniques used

Gauge:  stick to the same yarn weight and crochet hook throughout making your squares, or your squares will not match up.
Work in ends, as you go will help you at the end when it comes to finishing the blanket unless you love spending a day at least to work on loose ends.

Pattern Notes

The pattern is worked in the round with (RS) right side facing front, written and charted using standard US crochet terminology.

Suggested yarn weight for crochet flower square pattern
Yarn weight: Double knit. Worsted or Aran
Yarn Length required  : +- 500m/ 545yards to complete 4 large squares

Recommended Crochet hook size

I used a 4.5 mm crochet hook for the crochet flower square example, always ensure you use the hook size recommended for your crochet yarn to ensure your square does not twist or scrunch up, My finished size of each square was: 24 cm / 9 inches, note the bigger the crochet yarn and heaver the yarn weight the larger your crochet square will be, the smaller your crochet hook and lighter your crochet yarn you are using the smaller your finished crochet square will be.
