Collection of four flower crochet squares, joined together in a comfortable blanket, this pattern is not lacy, and will make for a warm pretty blanket.
Best yarn for making a mixed flower crochet lapghan
First and foremost, use the yarn you love working with, this is always my number one suggestion when it comes to making any large projects especially when it comes to making blankets.Crochet blankets especially flower squares blankets are a definite labor of crochet love, so pick a yarn fiber that you want to be wrapped in.

Pick your colors, and love your life, if you are bold and love bright colors embrace this, pick vivid bright colors and make your pattern pop and stand out from the crowd. If you wish to make a more level tone colored blanket, then perhaps op for using the same 4 to 5 colors for all flowers, the pattern for each flower will differ but the same color use across the squares will also make the lapghan very unique, as each of the four squares are unique to their own design.

Choose the correct crochet hook for your selected yarn, I suggest that you have a relaxed tension when working your rounds, also keep to the same crochet hook as you follow along with the pattern, if you have a big difference in size between two squares of the same crochet flower square pattern, it can be that you have changed your tension, but mostly it is because you have changed crochet hooks, or crochet hook sizes.

Make sure you take note of your stitch counts per round, and that you work all the rounds are required or you might have a crochet square which does not have the same amount of final stitch per side and you will then have a finished square which might not exactly match up.

Finish off each individual crochet flower square, by adding a border around each finished square.
Each floral crochet square is finished off with 5 rows in the round, to give some additional spacing between each crochet square to allow anyone that looks at your final project to share in the delight of each individual flower square. You have the option to use one single color as the base color of the blanket or you can make this in multiple colors. The choice in color is completely up to you.

Joining up your crochet flower squares into larger panel lengths
Joining your squares can be done in any technique that you feel comfortable in, you can join your squares with a single crochet stitch, or you can use a yarn needle and yarn and easily stitch two squares together using a relaxed blanket stitch. I opted for using the yarn needle, as I did not want a ridge to show between where one crochet square starts and where one crochet square ends.
Placing two squares on top of each other, right side facing inwards, join two squares together, once you have joined two squares, you will need to join the 3rd square on the adjacent side, to create one long row of 3 crochet squares.
Join Panels of 3 Squares
Placing two long panels of 3 crochet squares on top of each other, right side facing inwards.
Join panels together again with a relaxed, blanket stitch, once you have joined two panels you simply continue along as indicated in the pattern.
