Pattern size is based on working with a 3mm crochet hook and double knit cotton yarn, please note that using a smaller or bigger crochet hook, will change the final size of your crochet bucket hat.

Join two squares using a yarn needle and yarn, and stitch two squares together using a simple blanket stitch. 
Add the Eyes to each circle within each square, and add the smile with slip stitches into the stitches of the circle.

Step by step

Small crochet squares join to make the side panel of the hat. Please take note of rounds worked on top and bottom of the side panel of the hat. The Crown of the hat is worked as a separate panel and joined to the side panel of the hat. The rim is then joined to the bottom side panel of the hat.
