This poncho is a must-have for any crocheter!
This pattern is easy enough for beginner crocheters, but experienced crafters will love the modern style and wide variety of yarn choices available. You can use this pattern with any type of yarn, from bulky to super fine—making it the perfect accessory for any wardrobe.
It will not only keep you warm but also give you room to move around freely without feeling too constricted or bulky.
Yarn dont need to be of the same brands or make, yarn just must to be of the same weight, if you wish to use two different types of yarns, make sure both types have similar weight.
Don't switch between hook sizes , as your project will turn out askew.
If you rather play it safe, you can simply stick to the same Brand, Type, and make for yarn weight that will work with a 5mm hook yarn.
Two types of yarns are used in this example pattern with a 5mm to 5.5mm crochet hook
Yarn used for this project was 3 x 100% Acrylic / 100g ball Approx 215m / 235 yds per ball in color called Elk, and 1 x 75% acrylic, 25% cotton / 200g ball / approx 600m/656 yds in the color Cream
This pattern works well in a yarn-weight of medium. worsted, afghan, or aran yarn and you will have a soft fabric flowing crochet poncho, above mentioned is suggested yarn but any range of category 3 to 4 yarn, which is comfortable with the use of a 5mm/ H-8 crochet hook, will be well suited for this pattern.
