Sun-center crochet squares and reusable crochet bags are one of my favorite things to crochet, so I had to combine the two into one of my most loved designs so far. I have recently been on a trend to write crochet bag patterns, and at the moment it seems like these bags are simply poring out of my creative basket.
This African sun-inspired crochet tote bag features modern sun designs in bright shades.
It is made up of 2 large and 10 small crochet squares. The main two large squares are made up of three colors, and can easily be changed up and reworked in your favorite colors.
The small surrounding squares have an easy crochet sun design which makes for a beautiful combination.

If you're looking for a reusable shopping tote bag that can hold all of your groceries and still look stylish, then this is the one for you. The large handmade crochet bag can have a  button closure, so it's perfect for taking to the farmers market or carrying around your favorite daily essentials.
The pattern is easy to follow and can be made from any strong fibre crochet yarn It has two handles that are long enough to sling over your shoulder while you're out and about.

Be a part of the movement to save the planet by carrying your groceries responsibly.
Handmade crochet tote bags are a reusable alternative to plastic grocery bags, and it's made to be durable enough to last for years and make a great alternative to a diaper bag gift as it can be made in bright pink and blue, ready for mommy to be.

The bag measures approximately 13 inches wide by 17 inches tall, and I often use mine as a beach bag, as they are a good size for carrying all your beach necessities, they shake off easily and are super easy to wash and use again.

This crochet tote bag pattern is the perfect project for any crochet lover, the downloadable printable version includes per-row photographs, so you'll be able to make this gorgeous bag in no time. It's fast and fun, and you can use your favorite colors to make a bright new statement piece, that will look great on your shoulder.

The tote bag is constructed by joining the 12 crochet squares together ( 2 large squares and 10 small squares are required, detailed written instructions with per-section photos and graphs are included in the pattern.

Suggested yarn for the crochet tote bag pattern is DK Cotton, Bamboo, or Nylon Fibre content yarn for use on a

Crochet hook: 3mm to 4.5 mm
Approx. yarn length required: 700m / 765 yards

Approx. yarn requirement per color:
The base color of bag: 400m
Secondary color: 200m
3rd Color: 50- 100m

The finished measurements for using a 3.5mm crochet hook is a height of 13' / 43 cm and a width of 13' / 33cm, the straps I have made to drop down to 13"/ 13 cm, from shoulder to where it is joined to the pouch of the bag.
