If your favorite yarn requires a 5mm crochet hook instead of a 4, do note that your crochet flower squares will be larger overall which means your final blanket size will be larger overall.
I must stress not to change crochet hook sizes between squares as your squares will end up being different sizes. By stopping between crochet hook sizes your tension will also be very different and even if you try blocking them the same size, they will still be different sizes and will affect the look of your final blanket.
