Perfect foncho for variegated self striping yarn
Fall is here, and it's time to get cozy! This colorful, textured poncho will keep you warm and stylish as the weather gets cooler, perfect for any woman who wants to add a little color to their wardrobe this fall. It's also great for beginners—the pattern is simple, but the result is beautiful.
Do you have some self-striping yarn screaming for a pretty crochet project?
Then this textures multiple stitch crochet poncho is just what you need, to make sure that your finished project will be just as unique as you are!
An extra large-sized poncho is a definite must for the next statement piece for your winter wardrobe, when late summer outdoor evening air starts cooling down and the thermostat start pointing towards the colder months, it is inevitable to want to start with a pre-winter crochet project and what better way than a cozy colorful fall crochet to warm up your wardrobe. Work it in the warm orange and brown colors only fall can be so infamous for and wip up a stylish office wear that is one of a kind.
Warm and cozy to fend off the coming winter months, but not too heavy and covered as a full-on blanket. Somehow I always prefer a warm wrap or poncho project in autumn, almost like a welcome-to-winter habit that I have formed during my years of crochet.
Adapted from my first Winter Wrap, this fun textured poncho is worked in two separate panels, and stitched together for a beautiful women's poncho. It's got a relaxed fit and a flowy silhouette that makes it perfect for any woman who want something stunning and different. If you are looking for a spring or summer wrap this pattern can surely be worked in a dinner sporting yarn, but please do note that you will have to add some additional length to the lows to accommodate for thinner yarn and smaller hook sizes.
The pattern flows from one beautiful crochet stitch pattern to the next, which ends up beautifully textured soft, and lovely to look at and feel and will soon become one uniform statement piece.
This garment also has no sleeves, so you can enjoy the freedom of movement that ponchos typically offer.
This one is for the ladies and can be made in any color of your choice.
It's a great pattern for beginners and experienced crocheters alike—and best of all?
The downloadable pdf pattern version included not only written instructions on how to make this poncho but also stitch diagrams and loads of joining diagrams to ease you thru the crochet project process, so many crochet projects tend to end up in the one day, someday basket rather than a nfinished project due to frustration in getting the project made.
Beginner to Intermediate level crochers will best comprehend this Women’s Poncho Crochet Pattern, which includes stitch variations and combinations of pebbled flower crochet stitches along with V-stitches and double crochet stitches.
Self-striping yarn is highly recommended as it allows for beautiful variations of the multitude of textured features within the pattern rows and could be a fun learning experience for the adventurous beginner crocheter to try their hand at some new stitches.
