Step 2: Make a Gauge Swatch
A gauge swatch helps you figure out how many stitches you need for your specific yarn and hook. Here's how:
1. Chain 12 stitches.
2. Work 6 rows of half double crochet (hdc), with 1 hdc in each stitch.
