Welcome to the photo reference guide for Rows 77–210 of my Mixed Crochet Stitch Sampler Blanket Pattern.
This page provides additional visual references to help you follow the different stitch patterns as you work through your blanket. Use the photographs to compare your stitches, check the placement of skipped stitches and identify how each section should look as it progresses.
Some rows require extra attention to stitch counts, chain spaces, clusters and the placement of stitches at the beginning or end of a row. These notes highlight the areas where it is particularly helpful to check your work.
Important: Always follow the written pattern instructions for the exact stitch sequence. The photographs are a visual aid and should be used alongside the written pattern.
Tips for Working Through the Stitch Sampler
As you progress through the later rows, keep these reminders in mind:
- Check your stitch count regularly. Do not wait until several rows have been completed before checking for mistakes.
- Watch for skipped stitches. Rows with skipped stitches can be easy to misread, particularly when working textured patterns.
- Identify the correct stitch placement. Check whether a stitch belongs in the top of a stitch, a chain space, the back of a cluster or the space between two stitches.
- Count cluster and shell stitches. Make sure you work the required number of stitches into each group.
- Follow changes in stitch height. Double crochet and half double crochet stitches create different heights and textures.
- Use the photographs as visual guidance. Compare the shape and arrangement of your stitches with the examples, but always refer to the written instructions for the exact sequence.

US vs. UK Stitch Translation Matrix
Never let terminology ruin a project. In US terms, stitches are named after the yarn overs; in UK terms, stitches are named after the loops on your hook.

Row 103: 3-dc Cross Stitch

Pay particular attention to the 3-dc cross stitch in Row 103.
Follow this sequence:
- Skip one stitch.
- Work one dc into each of the next two stitches.
- Work the third dc into the first skipped stitch, following the written pattern.
Check the position of the crossed stitch against the photograph. This technique creates the crossed effect by working back into the skipped stitch.
The images in this section show the completed rows, with one close-up for a clearer view of the stitch placement and another image showing the full section.
