Start with a magic ring,

Round 1

Ch3 counts as the first dc st,
1dc 11 times into the same space, join with sl into the top of the starting chain stitch, ch1, don't finish off color.
(12 x 1dc sts in the magic ring)

Increase the inner crochet circle of the bold petal flower circle - Granny square pattern round 2

Round 2

ch2, counts as first fpdc, 1 dc into space between the prev fpdc and the next dc,
* 1 fpdc around post of next dc st, 1 dc into space between the last worked fpdc and the next dc, repeat from * until end of round, join into the top of start ch with sl, finish off color.
(12 x (1 fpdc, around dc post, 1dc in sp, ) ( 24 sts )
